Full Job Description
Salary: $13 – $25/hr depending on your experience
Work Days: Monday – Saturday (Flexible depending on customers’ orders)
Job Position Summary
The farm worker will be part of the farm’s facility processing unit tasked with grading, processing and packaging potatoes and tulips.
Duties
- The worker must be willing to comply with the legislation and regulatory standards of farm management.
- Must comply with standard operating procedures of the farm.
- Willing to follow laid down safety and health guidelines to minimize hazards in the workplace.
- Follow protocols for food safety.
- Comply with standards for grading potatoes and/or tulips.
- Package potatoes and tulips according to customers’ specifications.
- Help in farm facilities maintenance.
- Comply with other assigned farm duties.
Skills
- Ability to work well with your hands.
- Excellent manual dexterity and good judgment.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
- Can stand for very long periods working on your feet
- Capable of lifting objects up to 30 lbs in weight.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Experience is an added advantage
- No educational qualification is required.
