Union: CUPE.
Work Duration: Afternoons (7.5 hours)
Salary: $23.11 – $25.11 per hour.

Job Requirements (Qualification)
To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 10 education or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months experience performing cleaning duties, including knowledge of WHMIS regulations and guidelines and the use of mechanical cleaning equipment (polishers, burnishers, scrubbing and waxing).
- Fluency in English; ability to speak, read, and write English and to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Neatness in appearance; good manners; and capability to do manual labour related to housekeeping duties.
- Physical capability to meet all of the job’s demands; ability to respond to changing work priorities.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good work performance and attendance record.
Job Requirements (Duties)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning assigned areas as per established policies and procedures.
- Moving furniture for cleaning and organization purposes.
- Gathering and disposing of soiled linens, landfill and biomedical refuse, emptying garbage chutes, recycling bins and cleaning waste disposal equipment.
- Promptly responding to urgent housekeeping needs.
- Maintaining adequate stock levels of supplies.
- Regularly reviewing area of responsibility and promptly reporting any damages, furnishing, equipment, and hazards to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
